![]() The annotation processor could (finally !!) declare RELEASE_8, as NetBeans already supports just JDK8+ for compilation. has Netbeans 8.2 running on an Oracle provided JDK and uses Windows (so pretty close to your setup) on a new Ant web application project. "warning: Supported source version 'RELEASE_7' from annotation processor '.util.ServiceProviderProcessor' less than -source '1.8'"You can't do anything about it in JMRI, but it can be done in Apache NetBeans project (JMRI uses library). The project seems to build OK, at the end of the process I see this warning, which I am guessing is related: Ant only honours first definition of the property. On the next step of the wizard, select the libraries. If you don't have the necessary JDK on your computer, select Download JDK. If the JDK is installed on your computer, but not defined in the IDE, select Add JDK and specify the path to the JDK home directory. Go to the folder 'C:Program FilesNetBeans 8.2etc', or wherever NetBeans is installed. ![]() Once open, I see: 'myprojectitle (broken)' in the project window on the left of the NetBeans GUI. With your private defaults the versioned property file is loaded first, the (local) user build properties later. From the JDK list, select the JDK that you want to use in your project. module load java/1.8.0-oracle module load netbeans netbeans The program opens (via remote desktop - x2goclient), and I can search for the project and open it. In the Plugins dialog box, click the Installed tab and select Java SE in the list of available features. To properly use Java SE features you have to follow these steps: Choose Tools > Plugins from the main IDEs toolbar. And I doubt you can actually create a valid 1.4 binary if you dont verify that with. It looks like Java SE is not active in your Netbeans installation. It might be because this -source 1.4 or -target 1.4 is deprecated with newer Java versions (at least with Java 8). The way how the project is set up today does not allow to override versioned But previous version of NetBeans was generating 1.4 with java 7 without problems. The default JDK used to run NetBeans IDE may be present, but has a different (builtin, fixed) name, so it does not count.Īdd any JDK8 with that name (Tools > Java Platforms) to your NetBeans IDE. Warning: nbjdk.active=JDK_1.8 or =$ is an invalid Java platform ignoring and using C:\ProgramYour project is set up to look for Java Platform named "JDK 1.8" (the space is replaced by underscore for setting persistence).
